Since 2009. The company behind the network is Seo Hosting LTD, registered at 19 St. Mark Street, Valletta, Malta. Support runs every day of the year, by ticket through the client portal or by telephone, and the network now holds more than thirteen hundred distinct Class C blocks spread across American and European facilities.

Why the age of a host is worth asking about

It is not sentiment. Three things about a hosting arrangement only become visible over time, and none of them can be assessed from a feature list:

• Address history. A provider that has held its ranges for years knows what is in them. A reseller renting space this quarter is passing on whatever history came attached.
• Whether the company will be there. Moving an estate is a real cost. A host that disappears turns that cost into an emergency.
• Whether support answers on a bad day. Every provider looks responsive when nothing is wrong.

What the network consists of

The allocation is split between the United States and Europe, with separate pools rather than one pool serving both. That matters when you want an estate that looks native to a region: European sites resolving to European addresses is a more coherent arrangement than everything answering from one continent.

Both pools are made of non-consecutive Class C blocks, which is the property that takes work to build. Anyone can buy a contiguous range. Support is available around the clock, all year. Tickets go through the client portal, which keeps the history attached to your account rather than to whichever inbox happened to receive the message. Telephone support exists for the situations where a conversation is faster than a thread.

What longevity does not tell you

It is worth being straight about the limits of this as a buying signal. An old company can still run tired hardware, and a new one can be excellent. Age is evidence that the operation survived contact with reality for a long time; it is not evidence that any particular thing about it suits you.

The useful questions are the specific ones: which addresses, in which facilities, with what recourse if something goes wrong, and what happens to your data if you leave.
