What do you need from me before setup can start

Very little, and none of it is technical. The order itself carries almost everything we need, which is why activation does not wait on a conversation.

What the order already tells us

The plan you chose sets the resources, the number of addresses and the account limits. The domain you enter becomes the primary domain on the account. Your billing details cover the account record. Nothing else is required to bring the account up.

What is worth deciding before you order

These are not blockers, but changing them later is more work than choosing them now.

• The primary domain. It names the account and appears in paths and in the default hostname. Any domain works, including one you already own elsewhere. It does not have to be pointed at us yet.
• How many addresses. Adding more later is straightforward, but the initial allocation shapes how you distribute sites from the start. Our note on mapping sites to addresses before you order is worth five minutes before ordering.
• Whether you want private nameservers. They are created on a domain you own and can be set up on day one or later.

What we never need

You will not be asked for passwords to your existing host, your registrar, or anything else at signup. If a migration is involved, access is requested separately and only for what the move requires. That is a different conversation from activation, covered in what access a migration needs.

Identity checks

Occasionally an order is held for a verification step. This is a payment and fraud measure rather than anything about hosting, and it is the one thing that can delay an otherwise instant activation. Ordering with details that match your payment method avoids it in almost every case.

If it happens, it is resolved through the client area rather than by re-ordering, and the account is not affected once it clears.

After the account exists

Nothing further is required from you before you can start work. Login details arrive by email, the panel is reachable immediately, and you can create sites before any domain is pointed anywhere.
