How does the 30-day money-back guarantee work
You have thirty days from ordering to decide the hosting is not what you wanted. If it is not, open a ticket and the hosting fee is refunded. There is no form to complete, no retention conversation and no requirement to justify the decision. Two things are excluded, for a reason worth understanding rather than memorising.
What is covered and what is not
- Covered: the hosting fee itself, on any plan.
- Not covered: domain registrations. A registration is bought from a registry in your name and cannot be handed back. You keep the domain; the money is with the registry.
- Not covered: third-party certificates. Same principle. A commercial certificate is issued to you by a certificate authority, and returning it is not something we can do on your behalf.
The pattern is consistent: anything that becomes your property at a third party is not refundable, because we did not keep the money. Everything we did keep is.
How to actually use the window
A guarantee only helps if you test the things that would make you leave, and thirty days is enough to do that properly if you start on day one rather than day twenty-five:
- Check what you were given. Review the address allocation, and run reverse lookups on a sample to see the history you are inheriting.
- Put a real site on it. Not a placeholder. Real traffic and real load reveal different things.
- Test support with a real question. Response quality on an ordinary ticket is the best available predictor of response quality on a bad day.
- Try a restore. Backups nobody has tested are a belief, not a safeguard.
The migration point
If you moved an existing site in, do not cancel the old hosting during the trial window. Keeping it costs one more month and means that changing your mind is a delegation change rather than a second migration under pressure. This is the single most useful piece of planning around a trial period and it is the one most often skipped.
If you decide to leave
Take your data first, then ask for the refund. Files, databases and mail exports are yours and are easier to collect while the account is live. Once you are satisfied you have everything, open the ticket. Support runs continuously, so the timing is yours rather than dependent on office hours.
