What is the lowest price per IP I can actually reach

The lowest rate comes from combining two independent discounts rather than one: the volume band you land in, and the length of term you commit to. Take the largest volume band in the American Class C pool, apply the longest available term at checkout, and that is the floor. Two levers, not one

People usually optimise one and forget the other, which is how they end up paying more than they need to for the same estate.

  • Volume. More addresses on one order moves you into a better band, and the way the bands are calculated makes that move worth more than it first appears.
  • Term. Longer commitments carry progressively larger discounts, and the ladder applies to every band and every tier, in both regions.

Because the two multiply rather than compete, the cheapest configuration is a large allocation on a long term. The most expensive is a small allocation billed monthly. Most people sit somewhere between and can move a long way toward the floor by adjusting whichever lever they have not thought about.

When chasing the floor is a mistake

The lowest possible rate assumes you actually need that many addresses for that long. Buying four hundred addresses to reach a band, when the estate will realistically hold sixty, is not a saving. Neither is committing to the longest term before you have tested whether the platform suits you.

The honest order of operations is: work out what the estate needs, test the service on a short commitment, then optimise the rate once you know you are staying. Doing it in the other order is how people end up locked into something they have not evaluated.

Where the floor differs by tier and region

The mechanism is identical across the range, but the numbers are not. The European pool prices differently from the American one at every tier, and the wider address tiers are scarcer and priced accordingly, with smaller order limits that cap how far the volume lever can move. On the higher tiers, term length does more of the work than volume simply because volume has less room to run.

Working out your own number

  1. Decide the address count from the estate, including realistic headroom.
  2. See which band that count falls in, and how far the next boundary is. It is often closer than expected.
  3. Choose the term you are genuinely comfortable committing to.
  4. Read the resulting rate off the product page rather than estimating it.
